Event - Christingle

14 December 2016

On Wednesday 14th December the whole school went to St Mary Magdalene Church to celebrate Christingle as part of our Messy Fiesta.

We began with a welcome from Mr Alexander, our Foundation governor, followed by an introduction by Mrs. Garnett who taught us the meaning of Christingle and told us what each section of the Christingle orange represented.

We then had great fun making our own Christingle, although the sweets and raisins were very tempting and made our mouths water!

We then stood in a circle, whilst the teachers lit the candles and we all sang a special Christingle song. Mr Alexander concluded the service with a blessing.

It was a special, family time together which we will remember.
